Re-Purpose: Picture Frame White Board

I love white boards .... they are perfect for grocery lists, honey-do lists, etc! But, they can get expensive ... the cheapest one I could find today at Target was like $14.00 for a small one! :) I decided to make one for a lot less money and make it a lot cuter! :) You have to agree -- sometimes the white ones are a bit of an eye soar!

So I went to Goodwill (I'm loving Goodwill these days -- it's so fun!!) and I found an ugly picture frame for $1.99! Score! First, I tried to spray paint the picture frame white but since it wasn't wood it didn't work very well. So then I mod podged (yes, AGAIN - what did I do before I discovered this stuff!?) fabric around the outside of the frame!! It took a little bit of time to get it all right ... but it looks really cute with the fabric! I took out the glass and covered the cardboard with a pink fabric. I then drew a little birdy on the same fabric I used to cover the frame and put it all back together!

That's it -- you have a Picture Frame White Board! *In case you didn't realize -- the glass works just like a regular white board! :) I didn't have any Expo markers lying around - or I would have written a message .... but you get the point! :)

Here's a close-up of my little birdy -- definitely not the best ... but give me a break, it was my first one!
