Virgin Cocktail - Bun in the Oven

I'm turning wine into water ... yes, I know it's supposed to be the other way around - (just not when you're pregnant, haha).

I call it - a Bun in the Oven. :)

I love red wine ... good, dry, delicious red wine. I love it anytime of the year, from any country - any time of the day (well ok - not in the morning but anytime after lunch ... i mean, it's 5 oclock somewhere, right?). Few things in life are better than plopping down on the couch with your husband after a long day with a glass of red wine in your hand ...

However, I am temporarily "off" wine until little Nelson graces us with his presence (not too much longer) -- I'm also "off" Diet Coke. My two favorite beverages. The problem is this. I hate juice, its too sweet abd sugary. I hate water, it's too bland. Yes, this is a problem for an expecting mother who is supposed to be drinking ounces and ounces of water dailly!

So ... I came up with a solution!! For some reason, I drink wine MUCH faster (and more) than I should ... haha. :) So, I thought why not just drink water out of my wine glass? So I pulled out the cute initialed wine glass that Krystyn gave me when I got engaged, the Brita, the Cranberry juice and some lemon juice ... and voila! :) Such a yummy and delicious way to drink enough water!!


  1. Awesome! I always mix water w/my juice! At least 25% water because I agree juice is too sweet! Glad my "A" glass is getting some use!
