Breakfast Room: Mini Makeover

I think it's safe to say that the breakfast room is the ONLY room in the house that is done ... well, done enough. There are still a few things that I'd like to add .... a centerpiece & some new placemats to be exact. But for now, this is as much love as this room is going to get! :)

I wish I had a BEFORE picture ... I'm so terrible at remembering to take them. I just get so excited about the project, that I don't have time to stop for pictures. I'll get better. I promise. I may even attempt some tutorials -- but for now, I'm just showing off! :) If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them!!

Also, I'll apologize in advance for the pictures/lighting ... the only time I get to work on anything is late at night, after Tarzan and Monkey have fallen asleep.

So here goes: My Breakfast Room Mini Makeover!

I re-upholstered the chairs (see here) the first week we moved in. We purchased this cute little set off Craigslist... but the chairs were in desperate need of a little TLC. :) 60% off Waverly Fabric, 1 hour of my time and voila!! New chairs!

I added some cheap, inexpensive DIY artwork that took less than 30 minutes and some simple, no-sew valances. :) It looks soo much better than before! I love eating my toaster strudel yogurt here every morning! :) I love the fun fabrics and the peaceful colors!

Picture on Top from Vintage Printables.
The bottom one I just made in Microsoft Word.
I'm not sure how I like them - but for now, they work.

Cute, Easy Silverware Artwork
and shelf with EAT letters!

Please ignore awful lighting/colors - this is with flash!

I just Looovee that material. It makes me happy.
See how simple they are. Seriously, it's ridiculous.
But they make SUCH a difference! :)

Heat N Bond, Fabric, Ribbon & Hot Glue.
Doesn't get easier than that.

Once the rest of the house is done, I'll work on that centerpiece and placemats ... until then, I'm liking it. Next room on the list - the living room & Nelson's room.
