The Tale of a Bench.

So remember that bench I was soooo excited about?
You know, the one that was a coffee table.

The one I spent forever sanding, priming, painting, stapling?

Yes, this one!

Well, it was in a tragic accident....
One that involved diaper bags, leaking bottles & sour milk.

My beautiful babe of a bench was ruined ...
the smell was rancid & the stain was HUGE.

(and stupidly I stapled the cushion directly ONTO the bench,
so I couldn't even wash it!)

I thought that was the end of her.
Such a short life for the brilliant babe-ish bench -
but man was she loved.
everyday. several times a day.
For 2 whole weeks!

So she sat in the garage for a month.
collecting cobwebs.
Every time I walked by, my heart would hurt.
Seriously. I loooveed that bench.

Well - guess what??
She's bbaccccckkkkk.

*Please excuse the bad lighting, wrinkled bedding & lack of a bed skirt -
It's all a work in progress and I'm impatient and had to show you now!

This time I made a slipcover for the pillow
& used outdoor, durable Fabric.
This way, in the unfortunate event that she meets another
sour, leaking bottle --
She will be ready!!

I know most people stick with cool colors in the Master.
Well, we like it steamy.
What can I say? ;)
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Actually, Tarzan wanted Reds/Oranges
and I aim to please! :)

and I'm not going to lie - I LOVE IT so much more than I thought I would.

How about you??
Do you like cool or warm colors in the master?

I Finally finished sewing the bedding ...
and re-covering some lamps and hanging pictures! :)

  1. Love it! I'm gonna need your slipcover pattern - mine was a huge FAIL. Probably because I'm impatient, but I'm blaming it on the pattern :)
