[Already] Planning Monkey's 1st Birthday.

Is it too early to start planning Monkey Man's 1st birthday?
No, definitely not!
February will be here before you know it!! :)

Don't worry - you're not alone...
my husband thinks I'm ridiculous too!

I've tossed back and forth several themes ...
Circus, Cat in the Hat, Airplanes.
This is a big decision - he only turns 1 once!

But I finally settled on this ...

Who doesn't LOVE the Very Hungry Caterpillar!!?
It's a classic.
I love the idea of planinng the theme around one of our favorite books!

I'm sooo excited!!!
I've brainstormed some super cute ideas and can't wait to start putting them into action! ;)

So stay tuned ...
I'll keep you updated as I plan!!

  1. Great birthday idea! I love it. I saw someone make the caterpillar out of multi colored cupcakes- it was really cute. Have fun planning! My littest one's first birthday is coming up too, in Nov.!

  2. Never too early to start planning. I began planning GG's first birthday (which was in July) in January! It takes a lot of time and you'll be glad you started now! Looking forward to seeing all the neat ideas you come up with. If you need any great stores or ideas, email me. I used a lot of fabulous Etsy shops for GG's b'day.

  3. Love this idea! That is such a great book for inspiration. So much color and such a cute character! Saw a cute post on how to make a caterpillar cake the other day. If I find it again, I'll send it over. It used cakes baked in bundt pans, cut in half and arranged in a way to make the curvy-ness of the caterpillar! Looking forward to seeing what you do for your party! I have a 1st birthday coming up for my son in January! I'd better get moving!! ;)
