Poor Man's {Easter} Brownie Pops Tutorial

Monkey Man is NOT a fan of the church nursery!
Those poor, poor ladies that work in his class! :(

Well - last week he moved classes --
from the crawlers to the walkers
(such a big boy!)

I know those ladies were thinking "good riddens" --
so I wanted to make them something sweet!
{you know, since my child is NOT - hahaha}
as a Thank you for dealing with my monster.
for 52 Sunday mornings!

and I had Brownie Pops on the brain!

Remember these super cute ones from Monkey's birthday?

well --- the nice, easy Brownie Pop Silicone Mold is MIA.
which of course I didn't figure out until the night I needed it.
Saturday night @ 10 pm.
So I had to get creative.
{or I'd be eating a LOT of brownies!}

My friends ---
let me introduce to you the Poor Man's Brownie Pops.

1. Make your brownies in the pan!
You want them kinda gooey - not cakey.

2. Then cut it into squares - I made mine pretty big.

3. Then squish them up into balls (obviously wash your hands!)
and stick the Cookie Stick in. (1.99 for 20 @ JoAnn)

4. Place the "brownie pops" in the Freezer for at least 15 minutes. While you're waiting, get your colored candy melts ready! Mine melted in about 30 seconds in the microwave.

5. Dip your brownie pop into the candy melts!
I did mine halfway, but you could definitely do all the way!

6. Now time for the sprinkles! :)

7. I gave mine as a gift - so I wanted a cute way to display them!
I hit up the Dollar Tree for an Easter basket & some floral foam.

8. Added the green Easter grass and voila!
Super Cute Poor Man's Brownies!

9. Print out some Thank you Notes ...
(I designed simple ones in Publisher)
Then I used a 2" scallop paper punch to cut them out.

10. I wanted to give these to individual teachers -
and I wanted them to be able to take them to go!
so I add a celophane wrapper & the tag with some cute ribbon!

Now they don't look so poor mans! :)

  1. Great idea! Thanks for the tutorial!

  2. Wow!!!! Thanks for sharing - I think even I could handle making these!!!!

  3. Hey I'm a teacher and I'D LOVE those too! Sweet!
