We have a SUPER cheap-o knife block set --
that I've had since college!
{a good 'ol Target special, i'm sure}
It's definitely on our LONG list of things to upgrade ...
but for now - it's at the bottom of the list!
I hated it.
It was so ugly.
so boring.
so cheap looking.
so I did what any good DIY'er would do.
I SPRAY PAINTED IT!
{duh}

{Rustoleum is my fave!}
and now?
I kinda love it.
I kinda love it.
It's beautiful.
{can a knife block be beautiful?}
It makes me happy.
{does that make me weird?}
But just take another look ....
does that not make you smile?
or at least make you want to chop something?
please say you agree! :)
I'm quite giddy over my knife block transformation.
{and the monogram!}
Oh - and here's a little ditty for ya -- I've had my Silhouette since DECEMBER and I FINALLY cut my first piece of vinyl yesterday. I was so afraid to try. but now? I'm in LOVE. and I want to put vinyl on everything. It's soooooooo easy!! L.O.V.E.
want to see another beautiful knife block?
My sweet friend Natalie over at Johnny in a Dress has a FANTASTIC one!
Oh you haven't heard of her blog?
Well it's AMAZING - so you should run over there now! ;)
and tell her hello - because we all love comments!

Wow! This turned DIY creation turned out great. Amazing job and thank you so much for using Rust-Oleum to transform your knife block. We love it so much, we are going to feature it as our Project Idea of the Day on our Paint Ideas Facebook page. Keep up the great work!
