The Super Hero House Tour

If you're visiting for the first time, I'd love for you to come follow me on Facebook!

I mentioned the other day that I decided to build Wild Man a Super Hero House! He LOVES to play with doll houses, but the hubs wasn't too keen on buying him one. So I created my own version of a dollhouse -- one that is perfectly acceptable for boys. A loft apartment with a big city scape view. You know, right in the heart of all the action, far enough away from the bad guys! ;)

So here's the Super Hero House all finished!
Let's take a tour shall we?

I wanted it to look like a "big city loft" ... I needed it to be masculine.
In color. In design. No curves or girly lines. No pink or pastel. ;)

and this what I came up with ...
FYI - It took every ounce of me not to do cute vintage wallpaper! ;)

Here's the living room ...
complete with a flat screen TV ... and a "dresser" turned hutch ...
Pinterest Style, you know! ;)
oh and coat rack to hang up their super hero capes! ;)
The Rug is Dash and Albert.
Sike.
It's Scrapbook Paper on Clearance. ;)

Then there is the kitchen ... very modern.
I actually bought this kitchen and just spray painted it.

and then there is the dining room.
which while a little plain, is the perfect place for a Storm Trooper and Batman to discuss the problems of the world over tea. or beer more likely. ;)
The upstairs is a little bare -- and desperately needs a woman's touch ...
but the Houndstooth rug (patterned felt) is as far as I've gotten! ;)
(there are only so many hours in a day my friends! haha)

and while we all know Super Hero's rarely have time to sleep ...
there is one bedroom with a simple twin bed and nightstand!

But the top is by far my favorite ...
The pegboard city scape I created using scrapbook paper!

It's the perfect place for the superhero's to do some skateboarding --
(skateboard compliments of a McDonald's Happy Meal ... sweet!)
and check in on the world below! ;)

So there you have it, my DIY Super Hero House!
What do you think?
If you were a super hero, would you want to crash here?
In between saving the world and romancing the ladies, of course! ;)

Monday I'll give you a tutorial for how to make the house & furniture!
It was seriously simple and quick, I promise!

  2. This is absolutely awesome! My son needs some "boy" stuff so he leaves his poor sister's doll house, dress up tutus, and makeup. This may be on his Christmas list:) Thanks for taking the time to link up!
